Description
The issue allows local users to potentially obtain sensitive information by reading a log file. This is because the App Store in Apple Mac OS X creates a log entry containing a user's AppleID password. The risk is heightened if the log file has non-default permissions.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 10.6.8, update to version 10.6.8 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to log files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
