Description
The issue allows remote attackers to read script source code via an HTTP GET request that lacks a / (slash) character at the beginning of the URI, specifically affecting the is cgi method in CGIHTTPServer.py in the CGIHTTPServer module.
Recommendations
For versions 2.5 through 2.6 and version 3.0, consider restricting access to the CGIHTTPServer module until a fix is applied, or apply a patch that corrects the is cgi method to properly handle HTTP GET requests.
