Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Cisco IOS versions 12.2, 12.4, and 15.0 through 15.2

Description The issue is related to a denial of service vulnerability in the Network Address Translation (NAT) feature of Cisco IOS. This vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers who can cause a device reload via transit IP packets. The vulnerability occurs when packets in transit on the vulnerable device require translation.

Recommendations For Cisco IOS versions 12.2, 12.4, and 15.0 through 15.2, update to a version that addresses these vulnerabilities, as mentioned in the Cisco IOS Software Security Advisory. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability, however, Cisco has released software updates that address these vulnerabilities.
