Description A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists in the software during installation, allowing remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the name parameter to "oscommerce/index.php". This occurs because the parameter is not properly handled in an error message. It is worth noting that accessing "oscommerce/index.php" during installation may already imply administrator privileges.

Recommendations For OSCommerce Online Merchant version 3.0.2, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "oscommerce/index.php" endpoint during installation to minimize the risk of exploitation.
