Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service through an invalid pointer write. This can be achieved by sending a crafted packet to the TCP port 5678.
Recommendations
For WellinTech KingHistorian version 3.0, consider restricting access to TCP port 5678 until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, implement network traffic filtering to block crafted packets targeting this port.
