Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via tunneled packets, including GRE/IP, IPIP, or IPv6 in IPv4 packets. Successful exploitation may prevent traffic from transiting the affected interfaces.

Recommendations For Cisco IOS versions 12.2 and 15.0 through 15.2, update to a newer version that addresses this issue, as Cisco has released software updates to fix the vulnerability. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability, other than the general statement that Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability.
