Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the Transaction MIB agent. This occurs when a SQL transaction with a long table name is not properly handled by a packet decoder, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For IBM Tivoli Netcool System Service Monitors (SSM) and Application Service Monitors (ASM) versions 4.0.0 through 4.0.0 FP13, apply FP14 to resolve the issue.
