Linux kernel versions prior to 3.11
Description
The issue allows local users to obtain sensitive information from kernel memory via a read operation on a malfunctioning CD-ROM drive. This is due to a problem in the mmc ioctl cdrom read data function in drivers/cdrom/cdrom.c.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 3.11, update to version 3.11 or later to resolve the issue.
