Description
A buffer overflow issue exists, potentially allowing local users to cause a denial of service (application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code. This can be achieved by inputting a long string in either the registration code field in the activate license window or the HKLMSOFTWAREMostGearEasyLanFolderShare V1License registry key.
Recommendations
For MostGear Soft Easy LAN Folder Share version 3.2.0.100, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting input in the registration code field and the HKLMSOFTWAREMostGearEasyLanFolderShare V1License registry key to prevent buffer overflow. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
