Cisco ONS 15454 devices with software versions prior to 9.6
Description
The issue is related to the tNetTaskLimit process on the Transport Node Controller (TNC) which does not properly prioritize health pings. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a watchdog timeout and TNC reset, via a flood of network traffic.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 9.6, update to a version later than 9.6 to resolve the issue.
