Description
The issue makes it easier for attackers to defeat the Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) protection mechanism. This is achieved through a return-oriented programming (ROP) attack, taking advantage of the predictable addresses used for hooked functions.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.0, update to version 4.0 or later to resolve the issue.
