Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the fileDate parameter in a "DOWN" call to the 'vmtadmin.cgi' endpoint.

Recommendations For versions prior to 4.6 build 28657, update to version 4.6 build 28657 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'vmtadmin.cgi' endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the fileDate parameter in the affected endpoint until the issue is resolved.
