Description
A cross-site scripting (XSS) issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the HTTP Referer Header in a "404 Not Found" response. This might be due to a regression of a previously fixed issue.
Recommendations
For Splunk version 6.1.1, consider restricting access to the HTTP Referer Header to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available.
