Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the AppleFileConduit component, allowing attackers to bypass intended restrictions on filesystem access. This can be achieved by leveraging symlink mishandling via an afc command.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 8.4.1, update to version 8.4.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the AppleFileConduit component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
