Description The issue is related to the lack of validation of the number of streams in the msm isp axi util.c file, part of the Qualcomm components in Android. This allows attackers to gain privileges via a crafted application. The exploitation of this issue can enable a remote attacker to elevate their privileges using a specially crafted application.

Recommendations For Android versions prior to 2016-08-05, update to a version released after 2016-08-05 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the msm isp axi util.c file or the related camera functionality until a patch is available.
