OS X versions prior to 10.12
Description
The issue is related to the mDNSResponder component in OS X, which, when using VMnet.framework, allows a DNS proxy to listen on all interfaces. This enables remote attackers to obtain sensitive information by sending a DNS query to an unintended interface.
Recommendations
For OS X versions prior to 10.12, update to version 10.12 or later to resolve the issue.
