QEMU versions prior to 2.5.1
Description
The issue is related to the improper validation of USB configuration descriptor objects in the is rndis function, which can be exploited by local guest OS administrators to cause a denial of service. This can be achieved via vectors involving a remote NDIS control message packet, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference and a QEMU process crash.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 2.5.1, update to version 2.5.1 or later to resolve the issue.
