Description
A buffer overflow issue exists in the handle packet function in mactelnet.c, allowing remote TELNET servers to execute arbitrary code via a long string in an MT CPTYPE PASSSALT control packet.
Recommendations
For MAC-Telnet versions 0.4.3 and earlier, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
