Description The issue is related to a buffer over-read and application crash in the IrCOMM dissector. This was addressed by adding length validation in the plugins/irda/packet-ircomm.c file.

Recommendations For Wireshark versions 2.0.0 through 2.0.14, update to a version that includes the fix for the IrCOMM dissector buffer over-read issue. For Wireshark versions 2.2.0 through 2.2.8, update to a version that includes the fix for the IrCOMM dissector buffer over-read issue. For Wireshark version 2.4.0, update to a version that includes the fix for the IrCOMM dissector buffer over-read issue.
