Description
An authentication issue has been discovered, allowing an attacker to exploit it and gain access to additional operations. This is achieved by forging a json message.
Recommendations
For Dahua NVR models NVR50XX, NVR52XX, NVR54XX, NVR58XX with software before DH NVR5xxx Eng P V2.616.0000.0.R.20171102, update the software to a version after DH NVR5xxx Eng P V2.616.0000.0.R.20171102 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the json messaging functionality until a patch is available.
