Description A buffer overflow issue in the SDBG service may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges on an affected server. The exploitation of this issue can potentially give an attacker root privileges, allowing them to execute commands remotely.

Recommendations For EMC ScaleIO version 2.0.1.x, consider disabling the SDBG service as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the SDBG service to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
