Description The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, specifically an out-of-bounds heap read, by providing a crafted string to the icalparser parse string function, which is processed by the icaltime from string function.

Recommendations For libical versions 0.47 through 1.0, consider restricting input to the icalparser parse string function to prevent the submission of crafted strings until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
