Description
The issue is related to a possible out-of-bounds write due to an integer overflow in the
getReadIndex and getWriteIndex functions of FifoControllerBase.cpp. This could lead to local escalation of privilege in the audio server with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions 8.1 through 9, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent local escalation of privilege.
