Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Tree Manager component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. It allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, potentially leading to unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all accessible data in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools.
Recommendations
For versions 8.56 and 8.57, update to a version that addresses the access control issue in the Tree Manager component to prevent unauthorized access.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Tree Manager component until a patch is available.
