Description
The issue is related to the uxdqmsrv binary being setuid root, which allows local attackers to elevate privileges. This was reported to CA several years after the product reached End of Life (EOL) status.
Recommendations
For CA Automic Dollar Universe version 5.3.3, consider removing setuid root permissions from the uxdqmsrv binary as a mitigation measure. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
