Description
The issue is caused by improper input validation, allowing an attacker to open a manipulated HPGL file from untrusted sources. This results in the application crashing and becoming temporarily unavailable until the user restarts it.
Recommendations
For SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer version 9, consider restricting the opening of HPGL files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, users can avoid opening HPGL files from unknown sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
