Description The official Consul Docker images contain a blank password for a root user. Systems using the Consul Docker container deployed by affected versions of the Docker image may allow a remote attacker to achieve root access with a blank password.

Recommendations For Consul Docker images versions 0.7.1 through 1.4.2, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent remote attackers from achieving root access with a blank password. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
