Intel(R) DAL SDK versions prior to 2.1 for Windows
Description:
The issue is related to improper access control in the Installer component of the Intel Dynamic Application Loader (DAL) software, which may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privileges via local access. This could be exploited by an attacker to gain elevated privileges.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 2.1, update to version 2.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting local access to the Installer component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
