Description:
The issue is related to an incorrect implementation of the authentication algorithm, allowing an attacker to access the remote system maintenance feature by sending a specially crafted request to a specific URL. This enables the attacker to obtain information.
Recommendations:
For UNIVERGE SV9500 series versions V1 through V7, update to a version that fixes the authentication algorithm issue.
For UNIVERGE SV8500 series versions S6 through S8, update to a version that fixes the authentication algorithm issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the remote system maintenance feature until a patch is available.
