Description:
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds (OOB) read vulnerability in the libsaacextractor.so library. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute a remote Denial of Service (DoS) via a forged aac file.
Recommendations:
For libsaacextractor.so library prior to SMR Sep-2021 Release 1: Update to a version released after SMR Sep-2021 Release 1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially forged aac files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
