Description
The issue is related to weaknesses in the authentication procedure of NETGEAR R6700v2 Wi-Fi routers. It may allow a remote attacker to exploit the weakness and gain elevated privileges.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.2.0.88, update to version 1.2.0.88 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the router's administrative interface until the update is applied.
