Description
Running security scans against the SAN switch can cause
config and secnotify processes within the firmware to consume all memory, leading to denial of service impacts, possibly including a switch panic.Recommendations
For Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 9.0.0, update to version 9.0.0 or later to resolve the issue.
For Brocade Fabric OS versions 8.2.2d and earlier, update to a version later than 8.2.2d to resolve the issue.
For Brocade Fabric OS versions 8.2.1e and earlier, update to a version later than 8.2.1e to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting security scans against the SAN switch until a patch is available.
