Description The issue is related to a missing validation check of the actual number of endpoints in the hid-thrustmaster component of the Linux kernel. This can lead to an out-of-bounds read in the thrustmaster interrupts function. The root cause is that the code does not check if the usb host interface::endpoint array contains less endpoints than expected, which can result in a slab-out-of-bounds read in the thrustmaster probe() function. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to affect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information.
