Description The issue is related to the drm/xe/preempt fence component in the Linux kernel, where subtle deadlocks can be introduced in the preempt fence work func() due to the use of a single global ordered-wq for signaling preempt fences. To address this, the fence critical section is enlarged to cover the entire callback, allowing lockdep to better understand the issue and complain if a sensitive lock like vm->lock is grabbed.
