Description The issue is related to a mistake in the rtw89 sta info get iter() function, where status->he gi is compared to array size, but then rate->he gi is used as an array index instead of status->he gi. This can lead to going beyond array boundaries if rate->he gi is not equal to status->he gi and is bigger than the array size. The problem appears to be a "copy-paste" mistake. The fix involves replacing rate->he gi with status->he gi. This issue was found by the Linux Verification Center with SVACE.

Recommendations To resolve the issue, update the Linux kernel to version 6.6.50 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable rtw89 sta info get iter() function until a patch is available.
