Description Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping allow unauthenticated attackers to perform Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), a technique where malicious scripts are injected into a web page and executed in the victim's browser. This occurs via the s parameter. Successful exploitation requires the administrator to have the 'Highlight Search Terms' option enabled on the targeted search form and for the malicious query to return at least one post result.

Recommendations Update Ivory Search – WordPress Search Plugin to version 5.5.19 or later. As a temporary mitigation, disable the 'Highlight Search Terms' option in the search form settings.
