Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the RISC-V memory management where
vmemmap start pfn is computed by rounding phys ram base down to VMEMMAP ADDR ALIGN. A unit mismatch occurs because MAX FOLIO VMEMMAP ALIGN is measured in bytes of struct page storage, while VMEMMAP ADDR ALIGN is intended to align a physical address. This mismatch can lead to alignment failures on systems such as QEMU virt where the DRAM base is not aligned to MAX FOLIO NR PAGES * PAGE SIZE, potentially causing system warnings during sparse init() execution.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
