Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An underallocation of the Additional Authenticated Data (AAD) buffer occurs in the qce aead ccm prepare buf assoclen() function. This happens because the allocation size is calculated using a method that does not account for the full alignment required by the DMA scatterlist length. Consequently, the QCE hardware may read beyond the allocated buffer while computing the CBC-MAC over the associated data, leading to incorrect authentication tags and self-test failures.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
