Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the Linux kernel when the
xe oa emit oa config() function fails during fence allocation, config buffer allocation, or batch submission. In these failure scenarios, the function returns without releasing the sync entries and the syncs array. While the stream open path manages these failures, the xe oa config locked() function propagates the error without performing the necessary cleanup. Consequently, the syncs array and fence references held by parsed entries are leaked, and subsequent config ioctl operations overwrite the stream->syncs variable, rendering the leaked memory permanently unreachable.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
