Description
A heap buffer overflow exists in the bundled avilib library's ODML superindex parser. This occurs due to integer wraparound in 32-bit arithmetic, where a malicious AVI file containing oversized entry counts can trigger an undersized heap allocation. This condition allows for a heap buffer overflow when the file is processed by the
mkvmerge tool.Recommendations
