Description A stack-based buffer overflow issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Intel Hex Code (.hex) file.

Recommendations For versions 4.23 through 6.x, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue, as using a crafted .hex file can lead to arbitrary code execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
