Description
The issue is related to the improper initialization of a structure member in the ivtvfb ioctl function, which can be exploited by local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory. This can be achieved via an FBIOGET VBLANK ioctl call.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions prior to 2.6.36-rc8, update to version 2.6.36-rc8 or later to resolve the issue.
