Description The issue allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on a temporary file used by certain scripts. This can be exploited through the configure script or the examples/dhcp-client-script.

Recommendations For versions prior to 3.3.0, update to version 3.3.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the configure and examples/dhcp-client-script scripts until the update is applied.
