Description The issue is related to the handling of Ut Video data in the libavcodec/utvideodec.c file. It does not check for a zero value of a slice height, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds array access) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted Ut Video data. This is related to the restore median and restore median il functions.

Recommendations For versions prior to 2.5.2, update to version 2.5.2 or later to resolve the issue.
