Description The issue concerns the mqtt subsystem skipping verification of root CA certificates by default, allowing an attacker who can perform a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack to read or forge messages between the client and server. This affects the github.com/hybridgroup/gobot/platforms/mqtt package.

Recommendations For versions prior to 1.13.0, update to version 1.13.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the mqtt subsystem until a patch is available. Restrict access to the mqtt server to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the mqtt connection until the issue is resolved.
