Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in the
FlateStream::getChar() function, located in Stream.cc. This can be triggered by sending a crafted PDF document to the pdftoppm tool, potentially allowing an attacker to cause information disclosure or a denial of service.Recommendations
For Xpdf version 4.01.01, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
