Description A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco DNA Center could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the web-based management interface of an affected device. The issue is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input by the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this by persuading a user to click a crafted link, potentially allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the interface or access sensitive browser-based information.

Recommendations For versions prior to 1.2.5, update to version 1.2.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web-based management interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid clicking on suspicious or crafted links within the interface until the issue is resolved.
