Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the processing of tiscript, specifically when the System.Exec method is used. The application does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call, allowing an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process.

Recommendations For Bitdefender SafePay version 23.0.10.34, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the System.Exec method until a patch is available. Restrict access to the tiscript processing module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user-supplied strings in system calls until the issue is resolved.
