Description The issue concerns the lack of validation and escaping of certain shortcode attributes, which could allow users with the contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. This occurs when these attributes are outputted back in a page or post where the shortcode is embedded.

Recommendations For versions prior to 4.3.0, update to version 4.3.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of shortcodes to trusted users only until the update is applied.
