Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on its AJAX actions function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to change image categories used by the plugin via forged requests. This can be achieved if attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.

Recommendations For Mediamatic – Media Library Folders plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.8.1, consider disabling the AJAX actions function temporarily until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
